The game with the children began with a promise. “If we gather enough pictures we will also make a book”. And thus the quest began: In the corners of the house, behind the curtains, in the yard, the neighbourhood park, on Sunday excursions to the mountains or the sea. Dimis specialised in spotting spiders, while Manos would find the small winged creatures and the fish. Each discovery was accompanied by the cry “Come and see what I found!” To track down the small reptiles we asked our friend Pavlos for help. Gradually, our circle grew, and cousin Maria was the first to join us, followed by many other children. The game pleasurably filled our Sunday outings and we called it “Cyprus Nature Exploration”.
